Portland is located along the Pacific Ocean on the northwest coast of the United States. Beaches, farms, forests, and mountains comprise its diverse, scenic landscape, reminiscent of its wild west past. Unlike any other state flag, the flag of Oregon features a different design on both sides. A giant golden beaver decorates the back of the badge, while the front features the emblem from the state seal. As the western expansion of the United States proceeded, the Oregon Trail became the longest land route. Most families traveled it over four to six months because it is 2,200 miles long. Lighthouses can be found along the scenic coastline of Oregon. There are five that are still in use, although four have been designated historic monuments. In Lane County, the Heceta Head Lighthouse is the most photographed in the country. According to some, Oregon’s Mount Hood is the world’s second most-climbed mountain (following Japan’s Mount Fuji). The mountain was climbed 500 times by a dog named Ranger between 1925 and 1939. Some of the cities we service in Oregon include:
Eugene, Bend, Medford, Gresham, Portland
