Michigan borders four of the five Great Lakes. It is located in the midwestern United States. In Michigan, the Upper Peninsula and Lower Peninsula are separated by the lakes. In addition to its contributions to education and the automobile industry, the state also contributes to agriculture. One of Michigan’s peninsulas is the only one in the country. Mackinac Bridge connects the two peninsulas. It’s one of the longest suspension bridges in the world. (A peninsula is a piece of land almost entirely encircled by water.) Approximately five miles of it were built over three years. Because they live “under the bridge,” residents of the Lower Peninsula are sometimes called “trolls” by people from the Upper Peninsula. Michigan is the perfect place for water lovers! It’s the only state that touches four of the five Great Lakes. The closest Great Lake is only 85 miles from anywhere in Michigan. Over 36,000 miles of streams and over 11,000 inland lakes are also found in Michigan. Other than Alaska, it has the most shoreline. Some of the cities we service in Michigan include:
Mount Pleasant, Brighton, Sterling Heights, Lansing, Jackson, Grand Rapids, Detroit, Ann Arbor
