The state of Idaho is in the northwest United States. Despite its size, Nevada is the 12th least populous state in the United States. Known for potatoes, scenic mountain terrain, wildlife preserves, and outdoor recreation, it offers a lot. Boise River rafting and fishing are popular in Idaho, and there are thousands of walking, hiking, and biking trails. In addition to finding the largest diamond in the United States, Idaho is known as “The Gem State” because of the abundance of gemstones found there. The state of Idaho produces more than 72 types of gemstones. State potato production accounts for about a third of total U.S. potato production. Approximately 27 billion potatoes are consumed each year! In Idaho, there is a potato museum that contains the largest Styrofoam potato and the largest potato chip in the world.
